A professional inductive voltage tester allows for contactless checking of whether a wire is energized.

Simply bring the tester close to the wire, and it will detect the current inductively, signaling this by lighting up an LED and emitting an audible signal.

It also enables the checking of the wire's continuity and indicates the location of any interruptions.
