Diagonal Duct Fan – EC Version

Modern EC diagonal duct fan with energy-saving technology and innovative impeller design. Specially shaped blades behind the impeller reduce turbulence in the airflow and ensure an even flow across the entire cross-section of the duct.

Note: ML EC.A models do not have a built-in potentiometer but support external 0–10 V control. These models are intended to be controlled via an external controller or automation system. For example, you can connect an external potentiometer (accessory MTP 10) or a climate automation/BMS that provides a 0–10 V output signal to control the fan speed.

For manual control (0–10 V) via a potentiometer integrated into the housing, choose Harmann ML EC.R duct fans. As of now, the EC.A and EC.R fans are otherwise identical.

Construction of the Harmann ML EC.A Duct Fan

The compact housing and impeller of the ML EC.A fan are made from high-quality polymer materials, resistant to impacts and UV radiation. The IP44-rated casing consists of a mounting base with integrated connection stubs and a motor-rotor unit, joined with quick-release tilting clamps. This clever design allows installation in any position, even in tight spaces. The motor-impeller module can be rotated to any angle and easily removed for maintenance without disconnecting the duct system.

Rotor

The dynamically balanced diagonal impeller ensures efficient airflow. Air enters axially, then bends 45° to flow both axially and radially. The plastic impeller blades are aerodynamically profiled and mounted on a conical hub, directing air to the most effective part of the blade, reducing turbulence and increasing efficiency.

Drive & Control

Equipped with a brushless EC (electronically commutated) motor, the fan features integrated thermal protection and optimized rotor blades. The motor is designed for smooth speed regulation across the full range while maintaining high energy efficiency and low power consumption.

Application

Ideal for transporting clean, dust-free air in ventilation systems for residential, commercial, industrial, and public buildings. Suitable for both supply and exhaust air applications.
