The Tryton EATFR02 is a set of 60 joining biscuits split across the three most common sizes: 20 in size 0, 20 in size 10 and 20 in size 20. The set is made for the Tryton TFR900K biscuit joiner and covers several joints across different material thicknesses without buying each size separately.
Biscuits are used to join boards and solid timber in edge, corner and T-joints. The biscuit joiner cuts a slot in both parts, the biscuit is glued in and swells from the moisture in the glue, locking the joint and keeping the parts aligned while the glue sets.
Key benefits of a mixed biscuit set
The right size is always to hand. Thinner material needs smaller biscuits so the slot does not break through the face, while heavier boards take and need the larger ones. With 20 biscuits in each of sizes 0, 10 and 20, it is possible to switch between material thicknesses in the same project without work stopping.
Applications for the biscuits
The biscuits are used for edge-gluing table tops and worktops, assembling drawer carcasses, shelves and cabinets, corner joints in furniture and frames, and joining sheet materials such as chipboard and MDF. They suit both the joinery workshop and the home workshop.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do Tryton EATFR02 biscuits fit biscuit joiners other than the TFR900K?
The set is made for the Tryton TFR900K. Sizes 0, 10 and 20, however, are the designations used for biscuit joints in general, so the biscuits can also work in other biscuit joiners with settings for these sizes. Check that your machine can be set for size 0, 10 and 20 before using the set with a different joiner.
Which Tryton EATFR02 size should I choose for my material?
The thinner the material, the smaller the biscuit. Size 0 is the smallest and goes in thinner boards and mouldings, size 10 in medium boards and size 20 in heavier material where the joint takes the most load. The slot must never be deep enough to show through the face. Set the biscuit joiner to the same size as the biscuit being used.
What separates a biscuit joint with Tryton EATFR02 from a dowel joint?
Tolerance during assembly. Dowels need precisely drilled holes in both parts, and a hole a millimetre off stops the joint closing. A biscuit slot is slightly longer than the biscuit, leaving room to shift the parts sideways before the glue sets. The biscuit then swells from the glue's moisture and locks the joint. That makes biscuit joints quicker and more forgiving, especially when edge-gluing boards.
