• Model: 46648
• EAN: 5907570023154
• Type: Cable reel with plastic drum
• Cable: 3 x 2.5 mm², 40 m
• Sockets: 4 earthed sockets
• Protection class: IP44

The cable reel with 40 m of 3 x 2.5 mm² cable and four earthed sockets is built for power distribution on sites where several loads run from one point. The cable sits on a plastic drum and the sockets are rated IP44.

Maximum load is 920 W and 4 A with the cable wound up. With the cable fully extended, different conditions apply than when it is wound.

What makes cable reel 46648 a strong choice for site power distribution?

Four earthed sockets on one drum allow several machines to be connected without extra adaptors. The 40 m cable with a 3 x 2.5 mm² conductor area gives long reach from the nearest supply point, and the plastic drum keeps the cable stowed when not in use.

Is cable reel 46648 suited to outdoor work and building sites?

Yes, IP44 means protection against objects larger than 1 mm and against water splashes from all directions. The reel suits environments with splashes and dust, but not jetting or immersion. The following applies to load and use:

• Maximum 920 W and 4 A with the cable wound up.
• Four earthed sockets on the drum.
• Cable 3 x 2.5 mm² with a length of 40 m.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Does cable reel 46648 work at full load with the cable wound up?

No. With the cable wound up, the maximum load is 920 W and 4 A. For higher power, the cable should be unrolled fully so it is not loaded while wound.

Does cable reel 46648 withstand rain and splashes?

Yes, IP44 gives protection against water splashes from all directions and against objects larger than 1 mm. IP44 does not cover jetting or immersion.

How does cable reel 46648 differ from other extension leads?

Cable reel 46648 has 40 m of 3 x 2.5 mm² cable on a plastic drum with four earthed sockets and IP44 protection. A plain loose extension lead has no drum and usually fewer sockets.
