Wolni i Solidarni Magazine Issue 1 Spring 2023, Beast

Wolni i Solidarni issue 1, spring 2023, is the first issue of a socio-political quarterly from Beast. The magazine grew out of a debate held in February and is meant to publish the core content of such debates.

The title of the issue refers to an organisation founded in 1982 by Kornel Morawiecki, which declared its intention to remove the communists from power. The issue contains texts on subjects including:

• solidarity and solidarism, with reflections on solidarism during the political transformation
• post-truth in public life, with a debate and a psychological commentary on it
• a conservative political philosophy based on Aristotle's concept of prudence
• Russian civilisation and Central and Eastern Europe as a threatened region, including a conversation with a member of the Lithuanian parliament
• a review on the idea behind the organisation founded in 1982
