The BitMag puts the bits where they are needed: on the tool. The bit holder screws into the belt clip hole of the driver, and five bits sit magnetically in their slots — visible, sorted and swapped with one hand while the other holds the tool. The holder is built for short bits, the ones hardest to get a grip on, and they can be changed with work gloves on.
Every slot has its own samarium cobalt magnet that holds the bit with even force through impacts, vibration and work upside down — even in the cold. The same magnetic force handles long bits, drills and attachments. The composite version is injection moulded in glass fibre reinforced composite, double-sided and mounts on either side of the tool at any angle. The colour is chosen to match the tool — blue for Makita and Bosch, yellow for DeWalt, red for Milwaukee, green for Festool and HiKOKI — or as a recognition colour when several tools each carry one. Genuine product, designed and made in Sweden.
What does the BitMag do to the workflow?
It turns the bit change into one hand movement: the old bit presses back onto its magnet and the new one pulls off, without the tool changing hands and without the glove coming off. The bit needed sits in plain view on the tool instead of in a pocket or bag. On a ladder, that means one hand can hold on the whole time, and nobody has to climb down for a new bit.
How the BitMag mounts on the tool
In the belt clip screw hole found on most 18V tools. The four included screws fit Bosch, Makita, HiKOKI/Hitachi, DeWalt, Festool and Milwaukee. The holder is double-sided and can sit on either side of the tool, turned to the angle that suits the grip. Milwaukee M12 needs a longer M2.5 screw with spacer washers.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
My tool has no belt clip hole — how do I mount the BitMag?
With strong double-sided mounting tape or construction adhesive, directly on the tool body. The same method works for makes the included screws do not fit, and for other surfaces such as the van panel, the tool box or the workbench. 3M tape is sent free of charge if you ask for it in a note on your order.
Does the BitMag also hold long bits and drills?
Yes, the magnets are strong enough for long bits, drills, bit holders and attachments, even though the holder is primarily built for short bits. If bits tend to stay stuck in the screw head, a bit holder with a locking ring and notched bits help — the bit then stays in the tool instead of in the screw.
What sets the BitMag apart from the built-in bit holder on the tool?
Capacity and access: the built-in holder takes a single bit and is far from present on every tool, while the BitMag lines up five — the assortment for the whole job instead of one spare. The bits sit freely accessible and stay put even at steep angles and under impacts, and the slots allow one-handed changes in gloves, which the built-in pocket rarely does.
How much time and money does the BitMag save?
It depends on how often you change bits, but count the small interruptions: the glove pulled off, the pocket searched, the bit dropped and picked up — or replaced when it cannot be found. Then there is the money: when bits stop disappearing, better bits pay off, bought individually instead of in full sets.
How does the composite BitMag differ from the metal version?
In material, magnet type and colour — not in function. The composite version is injection moulded in glass fibre reinforced composite with samarium cobalt magnets and comes in five colours, while the metal version uses neodymium magnets. The composite is just as tough and holds the bits just as firmly, at a lower price.
