- Operation from -20°C to 80°C, humidity 20–85%
An axial fan for wall mounting with a brushless motor and protective grilles on both sides of the blade assembly. The motor and blades are made of metal, and the aerodynamically profiled blades give efficient airflow on a single-phase power supply.
The brushless motor is prepared for voltage regulation and is protected against overheating via a built-in temperature sensor in the windings. The fan is rated to protection class IP44 and withstands demanding operating temperatures and humidity.
When does the FPT400 make the most sense?
With a compact diameter of 400 mm and a power consumption of just 170 W, the FPT400 suits situations best where the airflow requirement is moderate but space is limited. The noise level of 65 dB makes it the quietest model in the series, an advantage in spaces where staff work near the fan for extended periods.
How does the FPT400 perform relative to its power draw?
The fan delivers 4500 m³/h at a current draw of only 0.75 A, giving a favourable ratio between airflow and energy consumption for smaller installations. The brushless motor with double bearings and insulation class F on the copper winding provides the same industrial durability as the series' larger models, despite the smaller size.
Is the FPT400 suited to smaller spaces and spot ventilation?
Yes, the size and low power consumption make the FPT400 a natural choice for smaller workshops, storage rooms, garages and other spaces where a full-size industrial fan would be oversized. The fan mounts on a wall and withstands the same demanding operating conditions as the series' larger models, including protection class IP44 and a wide temperature range.

Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
Is the Ferono FPT400 quiet enough for spaces where staff work close to the fan?
The Ferono FPT400 has a noise level of 65 dB, the lowest in the series, making it better suited to spaces with longer occupancy near the fan compared with the larger 500mm and 550mm models at 74 dB. Note that 65 dB is still a significant noise level in quieter environments.
How much lower is the running cost of the FPT400 compared with the larger models in the series?
The FPT400 draws 170 W at 0.75 A, roughly half the power consumption of the FPT500 (320 W) and less than half of the FPT550 (360 W). The airflow is correspondingly lower at 4500 m³/h, so the comparison is only relevant if the lower airflow is sufficient for the space in question.
What sets the FPT400 apart from the larger FPT500 and FPT550 models in practice?
Beyond the smaller 400 mm diameter, the FPT400 has lower power, lower airflow and a lower noise level, but shares the same motor technology, protection class IP44 and operating temperature range as the series' larger models. The choice between sizes in practice comes down to how much airflow the installation actually needs, rather than differences in quality or durability.
