The Cormak KDP350 is a 350-litre blast cabinet with a working volume of 330 litres, built for blasting larger parts in workshops and production. The cabinet has a door on each side, left and right, so wheels, machine housings and engine parts can be loaded from whichever side is most practical and turned during the job without lifting the part out.

The set includes the DC15 dust extractor with filter and flexible connection hose. The extractor works with cyclonic separation, so coarser particles are separated before they reach the filter. That reduces the load on the filter and improves visibility inside the cabinet while blasting. The cabinet has two extraction connections, Ø 63 mm and Ø 90 mm, and the doors are sealed with rubber gaskets all round.

The blast gun comes with four replaceable ceramic nozzles in 4, 5, 6 and 7 mm. The viewing window measures 580 x 270 mm and is protected by replaceable film, and the work area is lit by a 12 V lamp with switch, powered from 230 V. The rubber gloves are fitted to the cabinet.

Why workshops choose a blast cabinet with twin side doors

Because large and irregular parts can be handled from two directions. With a door on each side, a long machine housing or a wheel can go in from whichever side has room in the workshop, and the part can be turned and repositioned without emptying the cabinet. Internal dimensions of 890 x 655 mm and an internal height of 360–610 mm give room for parts that will not fit a smaller cabinet.

How the blast cabinet is used in workshops and production

The blast cabinet removes rust, old lacquer, paint, mill scale, deposits and process residue from steel and aluminium, and is used to matte and prepare surfaces for painting, welding or further machining. Typical parts are wheels, car parts, engine blocks and components, hinges and brackets, machine housings, covers, tools and mechanical components. Working pressure is set between 4 and 8 bar to suit the material and abrasive.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is not included with the Cormak KDP350 blast cabinet?

The compressor and abrasive are not included. The cabinet needs a compressor delivering 400–700 L/min at 4–8 bar — actual demand depends on nozzle, working pressure, abrasive and how long you blast without a break. The cabinet is also delivered in parts and must be assembled according to the manual. It is intended for an enclosed workshop room and must be used with abrasive designed for blasting.

How large a part fits in the Cormak KDP350?

Internal dimensions are 890 x 655 mm with an internal height of 360–610 mm, as the floor slopes towards the hopper at the bottom. That covers most car wheels, engine blocks, machine housings and longer profiles. With doors on both sides, the part can be turned inside the cabinet. The cabinet weighs 88 kg and measures 960 x 720 x 1500 mm externally, so allow floor space to open both doors.

What separates the Cormak KDP350 from the Cormak KDP220TOP?

Size and how parts are loaded. The KDP350 has a 330-litre working volume, 890 x 655 mm internal dimensions and doors on both sides, and comes with the DC15 extractor with cyclonic separation. The KDP220TOP is smaller at 220 litres and loads from above through a lid on gas struts, which suits heavy single parts. For larger and longer parts, or work where the part is turned often, the KDP350 is the better choice.
